Dealing with trauma is personal for each individual. Whether your trauma was an instantaneous moment or persistent events, the aftermath is long lasting and life changing. It can effect many aspects of your life and be a detriment to relationships and goals. The trauma could cause reoccurring and invasive thoughts to intrude on your day to day life. Being able to talk about the trauma and process can be difficult and overwhelming.
I operate from the premise that my clients will build up their resiliency, continue to survive and be empowered. I strive to provide my clients a safe space to process their pasts. My clients are the experts of their lives and values. With their guidance, I work with clients to investigate their thoughts and beliefs surrounding their traumatic events in order to address their current behaviors and thoughts. Trauma work is not a linear path, but one that comes with many bumps and bruises. Through that journey, I want to support my clients to work through it together and pause as they feel comfortable.
